Hello John,
We regret for the inconvenience caused.
When you install the AVG Anti virus, you will find a check box to install the AVG Secure Browser.
You might have forgot to uncheck the box, while installing the software.
You can change the default browser from your computer. Click on Start->default programs-> choose the default browser.
I have an antivirus to protect me from unwanted programs.
When AVG updated it installed AVG secure browser and not only did it become the default browser but the default for other files like PDF viewer.
Completely ridiculous and if it doesn't change I expect you will lose more customers like me.
Has this been fixed now or is it still occurring?
It installed as an automatic update. There was no installation process with a checkbox.
John,
We have already forwarded this to our developers and the issue has been fixed earlier however it seems to be reoccurred. We will look into it.
Thank you for letting us know about the situation.
Let us know the version of AVG you have installed to escalate it further.
