AVG secure browser is froze wont close

My AVG secure browser never fully loaded, so I tried to close it by right clicking on the icon in the tool bar - nothing, 
I tried to click on the x (close window) - nothing
tried using task manager to end task and close - nothing. 
how do I close the window so I can uninstall it? or do I just reboot and hope its not still up. 
  If I could get this resalved, Id be so happy, I have to work at 4a and its already midnight.  plz help!!!

We would request you to restart your PC once and then try to uninstall AVG Secure Browser.
After that, please reinstall AVG Secure Browser and check if it helps.
You can also try to uninstall AVG Secure Browser from Control panel – all programs – AVG Secure Browser – Uninstall.
