Hello Frank,
We apologize for the difficulty caused.
We will check for the issue with the concerned team and examine whether it is caused by the AVG Secure Browser.
I have noticed that your last AVG Free AV update includes AVG Secure Browser which tries to install automatically.
It seems to have failed on the auto installation creating a ( BSOD ) causing my computer to crash and not boot into the Win7 Sp1 all Updated operating system on a re-start with a black screen ( BSOD ).
Three times i tried to re-start Win 7 until the Win restore showed up.
( Windows 7 does this after 3 failed boots ).
Tried booting into F8 Safe Mode which too failed 3 times with a ( BSOD ) of which i could not capture or retrieve any errors with.
After many hours of trying i finally managed to get Safe Mode up and operating and tried to restore back to a previous point.
Initially this to said that it could not restore back to this point.
So, … after re-starting after trying restore the windows load appeared and finally a notice of restore was successful appeared.
It now seems to be up and running again.
PLEASE NOTE : This AVG Secure Browser that is included in the latest Update causes issues with Windows 7 on some systems causing a failure to boot the computer creating many hours of wasted time trying to diagnose the issue.
To that point this Auto Update of AVG Secure Browser should be offered only and not installed Automatically without ones prior knowledge.
It should be a Optional Module.
It seems to have certain issues in its Auto Installation and as i mentioned before it should be offered as a optional module.
Kind Regards.
