Hi John,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
From your description, we're uncertain whether this happens in a specific browser or irrespective of browsers. Would you be so kind to clarify it for us?
Meanwhile, please try connecting to different servers (locations) available in AVG Secure VPN to check if it helps (Open AVG Secure VPN - Change location - Choose different location)
Alternately, you can restart the computer once to check.
However, if you prefer to reach our support through different channel, you can visit this link to choose the desired channel.
As of yesterday (3rd August 2022), my AVG Secure VPN is blocking all access to the internet on my Windowa 10 PC
Perfectly repeatable, the moment I try to refresh an already open page/open a new page/use Spotify, the interent pages time out and Spotify freezes
I try to contact AVG support, that page does not load either
NO INTERNET
The second I switch AVG Secure VPN off, EVERYTHING works again at the usual speed my internet connection allows for
I have never had this, I have not changed anything
Moreover, seriously unimpressed with AVG support thus far
It appears impossible to call a person and talk about this, all "contact options" lead to the same template which allows you to type a message . . . which then throws you back at FAQ
This community here appears to be the only way to communicate --> extremely poor customer service, not impressed
Dear Dinesh,
Thank you for the prompt response
I only use Firefox as internet browser, as such I only experienced the issues with Firefox or the other internet based application I use regularly, Spotify
I did both restart my pc and also choose on other location from the AVG Secure VPN List before writing my comment here but to no avail.
What I forgot to mention, however, is that whilst having the issues I noticed the following:
The AVG Secure VPN dashboard normally shows my Original IP address and also the Virtual IP address but I noticed that today next to "Virtual IP address" I had the message "obtaining . . ."
This I have never seen before
As of now, the problems have disappeared; AVG S VPN is ON, I see a Virtual IP address and Firefox is running just fine. The only difference is that I am not at home anymore, rather connecting my laptop through a personal hotspot from my iPhone, although I cannot see how that makes a difference
I will continue monitoring and if the problem reoccurs I will write here again
Thanks

From your message, it seems that the server to which you've attempted to connect was unavailable. Hence the virtual IP address was blank or kept loading. Also, we see that the issue is with a specific network.
You can keep switching to different servers available in Seure VPN. Additionally, you can change the VPN protocol to Mimic to check if it works with your home network (Open Secure VPN - Menu - Settings - Experimental - Choose Mimic).
