Avg secure vpn does not "see" internet connectivity

I changed IP settings on the network card from manual to auto and the problem was resolved!

I installed 'avg secure vpn' on laptop (win 10) and my pc (win 8.1)(I paid for one year).In the first(Win 10) all good!
In the second(Win8.1) it does not work.
I get the message that there is no internet connection. (Sorry for my English)

All,  If you are running a firewall have a good look at it and make sure AVG VPN has permission to access the internet. VPN works very well for me. I'm using Win 8.1 on a laptop. Only thing is that sometimes I'm asked to confirm my change of location. I like that, shows that it is working really well.
