AVG Secure VPN no longer turns on - have a paid subscription

I'm sorry to know about the situation.

I would request you to Start or Restart AVG Secure VPN service and check if that resolves the issue.

1. Click Start , click in the Start Search box, type services.msc , and then press ENTER.
2. In the list of services, search for AVG Secure VPN service, right click on it, and then click Properties.
3. Click on Start under Service status.

Beginning last week, AVG Secure VPN no longer turns on.  When I click the button to turn it on a box stating "loading" appears.  The software never seems to load or turns on.  This is a new thing - - the software worked a week or two ago… I have a paid subscription.  What happened?  How do I fix?
