Still had the problem this morning, so as you suggested, went into the outlook website and logged in there to my hotmail account - all good. Then I reopened the outlook app on my PC and loged on with my hotmail account and it's now working OK.
All very strange, but it seems to be working now, so close the call please.

That's unfortunate the issue persists with the other email address.
Mark, please check if you are able to login to this email account from a web browser.
If it works fine, please try from Outlook and let me know the status.
Since installling AVG Secure VPN, each time I try to log in to outlook, I have to enter my password. The system thinks about it for a while and then asks for the password again. If I turn off the VPN I can get into outlook to see my emails. I have tried changing my location as suggested elsewhere, but this has made no difference. Not a lot of point in having a VPN that you have to turn off to use email. Any suggestions anyone?

Almost there.
My ‘mark.feeney@Live.co.uk’ email account is now working.
But I still can’t access my ‘MWFeeney@hotmail.co.uk’ account.
Outlook asks for the password, thinks about it with the Trying to connect message,
and then asks for the password again
– over and over.
Please advise.
