Hello Marlise,

I understand that you are unable to activate AVG Secure VPN installed on your computer.

Please open AVG Secure VPN, click on "Login" at the top right corner. You will get an option to sign in to your AVG MyAccount.

Login to your account to activate the product to pro version.

If the issue persist, please remove and reinstall AVG Secure VPN on your computer, check if that fix the issue.

When I open my VPN, it shows I haven't paid.  I have paid for two years.  

Order date:  1/12/2018  /   Order Number 13069381938   /   Cost  71.76

Install Secure VPN by following these steps:

Click here http://avg.tools.avcdn.net/tools/avg/vpn/avg_secure_vpn_setup.exe to download AVG Secure VPN from the AVG website.
Run the downloaded setup file,and if prompted by the User Account Control, confirm permission to begin the installation process.
Select your language and click OK, then click Next to continue.
Tick I accept the agreement to confirm that you have read and accept the terms of the License Agreement, then click Next.
Click Browse… if you want to change the default installation folder, then click Next.
Click Install.
Click Finish.
