My answer to Balasubramanian is that I have the latest version of AVG Internet Security 16.131.7924 and the dashboard is green and working perfectly well but I keep getting notifications to say that both Windows Defender and AVG are down. Does the version of Internet Security that I have cover Cloud maybe this is why I keep getting the notifications? Just to say that I don't use cloud as I don't trust it.
Getting back to Alan Birch thank for replying, Windows Defender was installed on my computer with my download of Windows 10 but I have been in and turned it all off will that be okay?

Margaret, Windows Defender is an anti-malware component of Microsoft Windows. It was first released as a free antispyware program download for Windows XP, shipped with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and made into a full antivirus program replacing Microsoft Security Essentials as part of Windows 8 and later versions i.e. Windows 10. Therefore, if installed, it will conflict with AVG.

I am running windows 10 on my computer and I keep getting a notification to say my Security is down,
I click on it and it gives me two options. Turn on Windows Defender which covers Cloud and your PC
or update your AVG. My AVG is working perfectly and is up to date and this is the option that I chose but still keep getting the notification so I have turned on the Windows Defender will this clash with my AVG
