AVG Security componants not active anymore

My AVG has stopped having active componants  I have the AVG free and the paid AVG Security. It is still the 2015 version as I was never notified to do an updated version as they usually do. This came about (the componants not working) after I had done updates for Windows 10 when I was notified to do them. I couldn't get into anything, as it always said it couldn't find the page. It said it could be an error with the DNS I think it was. Also that it could just be temporary. This got fixed up after two or three restarts and reboots, but my AVG I saw had no componants working. I don't know if this was anything to do with doing Windows updates or not, but AVG was OK before this, as it was doing a daily scan. It said that there was an error with the configuration, not being saved I think. 

I've gone to see if it can be repaired, but I don't have those buttons in the Add/Remove programs as it says, on Modify and Uninstall. I remember these buttons in the Windows 7 etc. It says if the Repair doesn't work you can reinstall AVG. How do I find the Repair button in Windows 10? I had to put Add/Remove programs into the Search to find it in my Settings list, as there wasn't one. There is no Control Panel in the Start, so it said to click Settings first and go to these other buttons in the programs list, but they aren't there. How do I solve this. I've put all this into Support which AVG said to contact them direct if componants had stopped working but it just directs you to this, it didn't seem like something that anybody was going to read. Help please.
