Have you tried to add that software into the exception list: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Antivirus-scan-exclusions ?
My AVG Security is blocking my eMclient mail software from accessing my gmail account. if I disable AVG, eMclient is able to access my mail. What changes in AVG is required to fix this problem?
