AVG Security keeps telling me "Licence is not valid"

AVG keeps telling me "Licence is not valid" and asking me to Activate Now.
I enter my License number which is valid (I've had an email to confirm that it is the correct number). When I initially enter the number AVG Security accepts it and says "Licence valid" in green underneath, but then when I press 'return' it jumps back to the same screen saying "Licence not valid". I've tried to Reactivate through the 'support' button but the same thing keeps happening. It always jumps back to "Licence not valid".
