I am sorry to hear that. Please be informed that this particular out of date issue with AVG happens when the older update files gets corrupted.
The solution is to completely reinstall AVG Internet Security program. Hence please follow below mentioned instructions to uninstall AVG Internet Security:
1. Use the link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to run the AVG Clear tool.
2. Open the AVG Clear tool, click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3. Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4. Select the installed version of AVG. Then click Uninstall, and Restart computer.

I receive notice from AVG that my PC protection is out of date, and must be updated for security. I try to do this, but get the following messages:
Engine and definitions: already up to date
Current version 170831-6
Program: already up to date
Current version 17.5.3022.
I see other people in this forum have the same, or a similar, problem. Help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
