Sorry for the trouble, we appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Make sure whether you have latest version of AVG 2018. Open AVG Antivirus -> Menu -> About -> it should be 18.1.
Open AVG Antivirus free -> click on Scan Computer -> once the scan gets completed, check whether last computer scan status has been changed or not. On Antivirus free -> My AVG -> My Subscription -> check whether you have logged in using your email credentials.
I have AVG Antivirus Free. This has been updating automatically.
Today, after getting an AVG prompt to restart my computer, a message was displayed, which included the words: '‘this is embarrassing – UI unable to start’ “AV unable to activate’. .
I checked the AVG program in the computer directory. This told me I have basic protection (AVG Antivirus Free). . However the program display tells me that my last computer scan was 9 months ago. I did a deep scan earlier in February 2018.
The UI message was not repeated when I next logged on.
I am now getting a a message "Don't forget to activate! You'll be in trial mode only until you activate your subscription'… I have not asked for any trial. I have seen this message twice now.
AVG is still showing that i have AVG Antivirus Free protection.
How can I check iif AVG Free has installed the latest updates?
Any help with the above would be great.
