Recent problem (few days?) - I get error message "Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error".
(I'm in the middle of writing an essay so this is particularly annoying. Workaround is to keep on using SaveAs, which should tell me the file already exists, but now it doesn't do that, it just saves).
This is Word 2000, Win XP, AVG 2014 most recent update. Found online article that suggested disabling antivirus. Disabled AVG temporarily and could save in Word again. Re-enabled AVG, problem recurs.
I know I have old software, but the article I found (see below) indicates problem is still happening with Win 7 and Word 2010, and disabling the antivirus doesn't always work to resolve it. I tried disabling Autosave as suggested in the article but it made no difference.

Has something changed in latest version of AVG that would cause this to happen? Any suggestions?
thanks
