Win10Pro64AU; AVG Antivirus Free version 16.141.7996. When I shut down or restart my computer, I often have to wait over two minutes for AVG Service to shut down. The problem is not consistent, but occurs about 50% of the time. Can anyone advise how to fix this?
Thank you for the confirmation, Wendi.
Do you have any other third party Firewall program installed on your PC?
Did you uninstall AVG free completely and checked whether the issue persists?

Thank you for the suggestion. I performed the repair as described, but it had not effect. What's next? Wendi
My only firewall is ZoneAlarm. Windows Firewall is disabled. I did not uninstall AVG to see if the issue persists. If AVG is completely unstalled, then clearly the AVG service is not going to be hanging up my PC any longer.
