Question: Why does AVG Service Process and AVG Watchdog Service use up over 50% of processor usage and almost a gig of RAM at idle?

The AVG Watchdog service analyses the whole computer and will consume a lot of the processor space. I am afraid that there is nothing about it that can be done.
