We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We suggest you to run AVG Remover tool to remove AVG along with AVG traces.
Please click this link to download AVG Remover http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
1. Open AVG_Remover.exe.
2. Click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3. Click CONTINUE.
4. to agree with AVG’s license agreement and privacy policy.
5. Select the installed version of AVG.
6. Click Remove, then click Restart to restart the PC.
7. After restart, open "C" Drive and delete "AVG Remover" Folder.
You can reinstall AVG Free now.

I have just started up my computer and decided to do a scan…when clicking on the shortcut from any location it will not work…have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times now and still getting the same problem…using avg free and running windows 10…avg did stop a pop up threat when last on internet could ths have anything to do with it?
