Hello Dawn,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We suggest you to restart your computer and then reinstall a new version of your AVG program. After restarting your computer, we suggest you to remove AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After running AVG Remover, you may need to manually uninstall any remaining AVG applications and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then install your AVG program by downloading from http://www.avg.com/us-en/download .Thank you.
Hi Customer Support
My computer slowed significantly last night, and I finally figured out that AVG 2015 is "stuck" on Updating. (that should be a song!)
Seriously though, I've used Task Manager to try and stop it, and it didn't work. I tried stopping AVG processes, and got denied. I tried cancelling the Update itself, and it won't cancel.
This started I think, when AVG popped up asking if I wanted better protection while browsing, and to change my home page to AVG. I unchecked the box to have AVG as my home page, but said OK to better protection. When asked when to be reminded, I clicked NEVER.
I can't get it to stop. Please help.
Thanks!
