AVG Shuts Down By Itself

Tried the removal tool as Avinash told me to do (above).  It failed and left me without any firewall or anti-virus, but it did block Windows firewall from starting and also blocked Microsoft Security Essentials from running.

With a little help from the Internet, I was able to get AVG completely removed and I have Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall back up and running.

I will find and install a better anti-virus and firewall, but it sure as h**l won't be AVG.  I have already received a refund on my latest subscription to AVG.

I will make sure that everyone I know is aware that (a) AVG tends to just shut itself off for no reason at all and (b) has maintenance tools that fail and leave you with no protection at all.

In accordance with the instructions I received from Alan Binch on March 27, I already removed AVG and reinstalled it.

I am not doing that again.

If I have to keep removing and re-installing your software every couple of weeks, I am going to change to a different product and demand a refund.  Fix your product or explain why I should remove AVG and reinstall it twice within four weeks.

I tried the removal tool.  It started running and then failed when it tried to remove something called Cloud Care.

I now no longer have AVG and I CANNOT GET WINDOWS FIREWALL TO START.

AVG is a piece of crap.  Fix this problem and fix it now.  I want my Windows Firewall back and I want AVG off my computer forever!!!

Started this post then it disappeared from my screen - hope this is not a duplicate

Every so often AVG Internet Security 2015 shuts down by itself.

I'm running Win 7 (all Mickeysoft patches applied).  Sometimes after the computer has gone to sleep when I wake it back up, it reports that AVG Firewall has shut down.  In addition, the AVG Internet Security 2015 icon is missing from my toolbar AND it is missing from my Start menu.  This only happens when the computer has been asleep, and very definitely is an occasional thing - it does not happen every time the computer has been asleep.

Once I reboot the computer, everything comes back.

I followed the instructions in the article and everything was fine - until today when I had the same thing happen and I had to reboot.

I cannot have this keep happening.  If AVG doesn't have a permanent fix for this problem I'm going to have to de-install it and go to another product.

DO YOU HAVE A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM OR NOT?

Hi Jon,
In order to analyze it please provide us with http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe output (run it after inducing described behavior) and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks
