Avg SLOW DOWN m pc and chrome

in the last couple of weeks, AVG really slows down my PC.
only when I turn it off my PC wakes up and start working.
it's it like the web&email always scanning.

it especially happens when using chrome. 

any ideas?

Hello, 
thank you for your help.

Yes I'm using AVG for free
and once I disable it (as you can see in the photo)
the problem solved and the PC and especially the chrome run as normal.

what do you think?
(I think guess/not sure but I think the issue might be the constant scan of web&email features of the AVG)
