AVG slowing my computer

Please accept my apologies with regards to the AVG software not living up to your expectations. Unfortunately,  we cannot reimburse the balance money as it is out of our refund policy.  However, I have disabled Auto-Renewal for all your AVG products, you will not be billed automatically in future.

I've been with AVG since 2011 for security and anti-virus products. Recently, my laptop almost slowed to a standstill. I contacted AVG who connect up with my computer and assured me it was neither of their products causing the problem. I have since paid for a local engineer to check my system and he was adamant that it was in fact AVG. Apparently their products use a mammoth amount of memory. I have uninstalled AVG and my system is back to normal.
I now want to:-
1. Prevent AVG from automatically renewing my subscriptions and the MyAccount option doesn't give me the opportunity to do this - any thoughts please?
2. Reclaim balance of my subscription. Anyone had any experience of this?
