I followed the above instruction, downloaded the removal tool and ran it - the program ran and needed a reboot which I carried out, now sure what happened after that as I left the room for a few minutes… On return I found the following message Following AVG processes failed - avguix.exe. I responded that the information should be sent to AVG.
I eventually managed to reboot the laptop but it is extremely slow and some program are not functioning correctly ie Task Manager show an outline of the display but without any data - I have not tried to run any other programs
Please advise.
I have used AVG Internet Security for many years but it seems to be causeing my laptop to run slow.
I used to also have AVG Tune Up but I have removed this as it too was causing my laptop to hang.
If I remove AVG Internet Security my PC definitely runs better.
I have noticed processes AVGcsrve.exe, avgsvc.exe, avgrsa.exe causing a lot of disk I/O - I believe this is causing me a problem. Disk activity is running at 100% with no other applications running.
Anyone else had this problem?

I understand this must be upsetting and I apologize for the inconvenience. I have sent you an email, please follow the email instructions to get in touch with the remote support. They will analyze the issue with AVG and fix it, free of cost.
