Hello Stephen. Yes my instructions will help you with your issue. If your issue persists please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thank you.
This thread does not specify the Windows OS. I am using Windows 7 and have experienced recently lengthy boot times and slow responses whilst scheduled scan is running. I have used task manager to look at whats happening and it seems that whilst avgcsvra.exe is running after boot up the hard faults rate goes over 100/sec making the machine very unresponsive. My scan setting is dynamic. The problem has become serious in the last two/three weeks and I am getting fed up with it.
Do the instructions from Balasubramanian apply to Windows 7?
I habitually turn off my computer every night and start it again in the morning or whenever I need to use it that day. In recent months the start up period has become painfully slow, it often takes 30 - 45 minutes for AVG (free version) to look in every nook and cranny of my computer and during that period it is useless to me. Is there a way of limiting the scan to whatever is necessary to scan ?
II aam uusing my tablet more and more and my pc less and less because of this AVG handicap, but there are things I have to do on my pc.
TThanks ii aadvance!

- Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
