Hi,
Just thought I share my experience due to a high CPU resource usage circa 60% and the fan constantly running at high speed on my laptop. By looking at the task manager this can be deceptive as it shows AVG Software Analyzer as the one taking up most resources however the AVG software analyzer is monitoring a huge amount of resources so if any of the underlying monitored tasks/applications is caught up in a loop it will be the AVG Software Analyzer that shows up it is taking up the resources in the the task manager hence one can be misled that it's the AVG S/Anaylzer the problem.
I recommend to go into Windows Event Viewer (Win + X, Select Event Viewer) and look at the Application Error Log, and look for a high recurring Error; this gets you closer to the issue in identifying the real resource drain. In my case it was an application called TrueColor (Dell) and was reporting and logging of about 18 error (same one) per second! Disabling the auto-start of the application and restarting the computer immediately dropped CPU usage down from 60% to 3%. BTW AVG S/Analyzer now is way down in the task manager list in single digits.
For info, I too followed several threads here and did similar actions by uninstalling, deleting all evidence of AVG files and reinstalling etc. but to no avail. Also if it helps, a small application called openhardwaremonitor is very helpful to monitor cpu usage and temperature live with issues like this.
[AVG Internet Security]
I hope this helps.
