AVG Stealing Focus

Not citrix.  I have a small app that logs focus changes and it is definitely AVG taking focus every 10 minutes all day, everyday!  Apart from the stock standard repair response from AVG there has been no ffedback and the issue persists.  I am going to have to look for a new antivrus program as I can't keep being interrupted mid typing by this.  It has been happening for over 2 weeks now.

Sorry to hear that the issue persists even after it was fixed in the recent update. Do you have free version on your device? Have you tried repair option from control panel and checked with the issue?

Avguix.exe regularly steals focus in Win7 from other applications.  Stopping whatever I am doing in those other applications.  I have used a utility that tells me which application has focus, and it is avguix.exe that is regularly stealing it.  No AVG window opens, I just lose ofcus on the application I am working in at the time. This only started happening following the recent update a few days ago.  I have Build Number: 1.171.3.211, AVG Free Version: 17.3.3443.0, AVG Framework 1.182.2.64574, AVg Setup 1.182.2.64574.  Is there a way to stop this happening as it is interrupting my work?

I just lost focus in a multiplayer game and that was not nice. I also think of finding another AV program.

Still happening, and still frustrating that this happens with AVG all the time. Even when an update supposedly "fixes" it it's still affecting me.

I have this same issue going on with my AVG and I even recently updated it to see if that would fix it but it's at the latest version it's still stealing focus.

You dont happen to have Citrix Reciever installed do you? I find that steals focus for me so regularly just close the tray icon if im not using it.

Maybe the app you are using to determine the cause is wrongly flagging avg? What app is it?

I understand your concern. Please check if "Cybercapture" is enabled from AVG Internet Security. To check this, open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->General->Enable CyberCapture. Uncheck this option and check if that fix the issue.

The issue regarding the focus is fixed in the latest version of AVG program. We suggest you to update the AVG program you have to Version 17.4 and see if everything works fine. If you still have any query regarding AVG, feel free to contact us.
