Firefox will not open. A message appeared which said something like AVG limiting firefox access to reduce load on computer. Nothing has changed on computer so don't understand this

I can't. It only appeared once as a pop-up box. I have been trying to get it again but not able

We're sorry to know that, David. As we're uncertain about the exact message or the pop up that you received, it seems that you might have hibernated Firefox while optimiziing your computer using AVG TuneUp.
To check this : Open AVG TuneUp - Speed Up tile - Background & startup programs - Scroll down to find 'Programs that are sleeping' - Expand it by clicking on the arrow beside it - Check if Firefox is listed - If listed, click on Wake or ignore beside it.
