This issue has eventually gone to the developers. I haven't heard anything for about a week. Is it possible you can tell me waht's happening?
I have Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2014 on a network and it is also not working when trying to email invoices. Having contacted Sage they say it is an AVG problem. Please do you have a solution yet, as to keep protected I have had to resort back to pre AVG 2015.

Just tried it on mine and it also doesn't allow you to email invoices with AVG turned on.
It seems AVG are ignoring me now. Tried emailing them and haven't got any response.
I'm just glad I'm just using the free version and don't use the paid one if this is the level of service you get.

Hi there
I'm accessing Sage Line 50 Accounts on a network and I have just updated AVG Free Edition 2015 and it's stopping Sage from opening.
I know this because I have temprarily turned off AVG and Sage is working again. Once you have opened it you can turn AVG back on.
Does anyone know a solution to this because i don't know if it's really safe having to turn AVG off for a short time each day?

Due to how Sage Act works. this is a Common problem with any antivirus product. you mention network though. so you can look into avg and enable file and printer sharing.
Yes the business edition version has a spot to enable file and printer sharing, which may or may not be on the free edition.

I've tried excluding c:\ProgramData\Sage , c:\Program Files (X86)\Sage and the network folder \Daves\ProgramData\Sage and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas?

You are using Act, A business Product, with AVG Free Edition, A Free Consumer Product. You are paying for hte poort support you get with ACT, And you are also paying for the poor support you are getting with AVG Free edition (just not in the form of cash). You want better support? have you thought about paying for avg business edition which comes with free U.S. Based Tech support as part of the Purchase? hmm. that would make too much sense. Unfortantly the issue you are experiencing, the support will tell you to add act as part of the exceptions. apparrently with ACT due to it being a database program, the core files constantly update and mutate, which changes the files and removes the files from the exclusions because the files are now different. I'm sure since you were unable to figure out that the free edition and the business edition are different along with the fact that the support for both will aslo be different, my explanation is written in a for… well, i will use words you may better understand, my explanation will not make sense to you and calling business tech support will not help you because you can not be helped.
