We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Please reinstall your AVG Internet Security and disable only Firewall component and check if you could connect to internet.
To disable Firewall follow the steps in: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-disable-AVG-Firewall
If it is Firewall component that is blocking the internet connection, please reset AVG network filter driver as described below.
Go to Control Panel -> Network Connections -> right click on the network area which is active -> "Properties"
Hello, I wonder if anyone can help, I had avg installed on my laptop and it stopped working saying no component available, a member of the avg technical team advised I download the uninstall app and re-install which I have done, however during the re-installation avg some how disconnects my computer from the internet I'm unable to connect to anything, I tried putting the program on hold for 10 minutes whilst I tried the internet connection but this did not work I have now uninstalled avg and am able to connect to the internet without any problems,

-If there is "AVG Network filter driver" uninstall it and restart the computer twice.
- AVG Firewall initializes auto-repair function so "AVG Network filter driver" should be automatically installed (therefore two restarts are needed)
- If there isn't "AVG Network filter driver" click "Install " -> "Service" -> "Have Disk" -> "Browse" and look for "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2015\Drivers\avgfwfd.inf".
- Click "Open" button and follow the prompts.
- Restart the computer twice.
