AVG Subscription Cancellation

I was recently charged for an annual subscription through DRI without any prior notification of the pending payment.  I do not want a refund; however, I want to prevent another withdrawal on Jan 28, 2025.  In order to do this, I was going to cancel my subscription however there is conflicting information about doing so and what happens to the balance of that subscription for the year.  The Support FAQs say that you still have your active software for the balance of the billing period; but, when you go to cancel, you get the dire warning that you will loose your “Stay Safe Virus Guarantee” which is contradictory and also in violation of the product purchase.  I should not loose anything until the subscription expires otherwise you are penalizing the user for terminating the subscription.

So, which is it.  Does every subscription benefit remain in force or not?
