AVG support for Windows Vista?

Hello Ian,

Yes, you can use the license for it.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.

Ian, you will be able to use the license for AVG in Windows Vista, whereas you will not be able to update to the latest program version.
For Vista and XP operating system the AVG Antivirus/Internet Security program version will be 18.8.
If you aren't able to get it installed, please use this https://install.avcdn.net/avg/iavs9x-xp/avg_internet_security_setup_offline.exe link and check the status.
If you try to install AVG Antivirus free from our https://www.avg.com/installation-files website, then it should automatically install the 18.8.
If not, you can use the above provided link and install AVG Internet Security. Later you can switch it to "AVG Antivirus Free" during uninstallation.

Balasubramanian, thank you again for your most helpful and thorough reply.

Is there an offline installer for AVG AntiVirus version 18.8? Or could the first link that you provided function as an offline installer for the antivirus? I would dislike having to switch to AVG AntiVirus by uninstalling AVG Internet Security (which I interpreted as the meaning of the latter portion of your response).

If I purchase a license for AVG Internet Security, will this license be applicable to the previous version(s) of AVG AntiVirus that support Windows Vista?

In regard to AVG Internet Security I have one more question. Will a purchase for multiple machines allow for the simultaneous use of this version of AVG Internet Security in Windows Vista and a newer version of AVG Internet Security in a more recent operating system?

I apologize for asking so many questions.

Ian, AVG Anti virus and AVG Internet security both are the same products.

The link which we have provided will install the trial version of the product. You have to activate it, in order to convert the free product into a paid one.
