I have a fairly old Panasonic Toughbook running windows 10 and with the full suite of AVG protection and tune up. I have had and occasional fault with now happens every time I switch on. My computer will not automatically connect to the internet. I run the diagnostics and it tells me my TAP connector is disabled. I run the administrator routine and get a green tick but are then instructed to flick the manual switch on the side of the machine. This is a small manual switch which is set to the 'on' position, however by turning it off and then on again the problem is fixed. I have now got into the habit of resetting this manual switch every time I use the computer but this is a bit tiresome. What exactly is the issue here and is there a simple software adjustment I can make without needing to resort to this hard reset?
