Avg Threat Secured Box, still appearing

I have the same problem happening today, except it pops up again about 2 seconds after I click the X on the threat alert window. So I have had to drag the alert off my screen in order to use my computer.

Did anyone successfully find the solution for this prompts? I've just started getting them in the past few days and its already getting annoying.

Hi Glenn,

We realize this must be upsetting.
Let us collect few details regarding this threat detection and assist further.
May I ask how often do you get this threat detection?
Does it appear whenever you access any website through Firefox browser?
Could you click on "See Details" from the threat detection popup and provide a screenshot of it?
Are you using the AVG Antivirus free or paid version of AVG Internet Security?

Hi
I'm getting basically the same annoying popup:
""we've safely aborted connection on antiadblocksystems.com because it was infected with url:malvertising"
I'm getting it on all my browsers: Chrome-Brave-Opera
And it doesn't seem illegal-site related - the last time was when I tried to log in to AVG on this page.
And it doesn't seem solely AVG - I see the same prob.listed on Avast.
And a Malwarebytes scan didn't detect anything.
It seems like a v. tricky piece of malware embedded somewhere - wh has clearly been operating on the net since at least 2019 - from googling.
Doesn't AVG have any other solutions for such a persistent problem? Thx

The user community should not have to reset Chrome to fix this annoying problem.  I would be more likely to change to a different anti-virus solution than lose all my Chrome settings. AVG is generating this message.  If they cannot fix the problem they should pick up the phone and call Google and determine a solution. The user community should not be required to do a bunch of work to fix an AVG / Google problem. Maybe a an email to your CEO would get this problem fixed?

Hello Bonk,

Please do not worry, let me clarify this for you.
As the notification says, you have visited 'dogsamily.net' from your Chrome.
AVG has detected this website as a threat to you and it has secured it.
That is why you are getting this notification.

This also could be a false positive from the AVG, if you think this website is genuine.
I request you to submit this URL to our developers using the below link for analysis
https://www.avg.com/en-us/false-positive-file-form

Since this website was visited from the Chrome, the website is in the browser cache.
Due to this we requested you to reset the browser, by resetting the browser the cache will be remove
Then this pop up will be removed.

In defense of AVG users (K. Rooker) this problem has nothing to do with viewing 'illegal or authorised websites', why post such a comment?

It's been more than two and a half years since the initial post about this issue and it's STILL happening. I've been updating AVG, updating Chrome browser and putting up with this for more than two months. The ONLY way I have managed to 'fix' it is to slide the popup off the side of the screen, not good enough!

It only happens when using Chrome browser, every time I open a new tab and search in the Chrome search window. And, no I'm not going to reset the browser settings until AVG explain exactly why doing so will fix the problem.

I have scanned in every way AVG offer, it finds no issues, yet it still keeps popping up this frustrating problem. If it's not a threat the AVG scanner finds, why is it keeping on happening?

It's only a problem that appears to be unique to AVG, I see no other references to this issue in any other antivirus program. It's beyond a joke, time AVG rectify it and prevent it continuing to happen

Hi, Im having this issue as well. Kindly assist. thanks

I don't use Chrome, only firefox, and I get the same ;
ABORTED CONNECTION ON 163.172.68.39 BECAUSE IT WAS INFECTED WITH URL:BLACKLIST
pop up every time I "X-it out"
PLEASE help. This is driving me crazy

Last night I an AVG Threat Secured box appeared. It said
"We've safely aborted connection on pushwhy.com because it was infected with URL:Blacklist. More threats may be lurking."

It seems the Threat Box keeps appearing and will not go away, which is becoming very annoying.

I have scanned my PC numerous times updated my security also and emptied my AVG quarantine file, and the Threat box still continues to appear despite my scans saying nothing has been found…

Can you tell me how to remove this threat box message, tell me more about this threat?

I am getting this same message of URL:blacklist    threat aborted and all that.  All happened when I tried to upload some additional photos to my Shutterfly project.  It was fine with the first 96 pictures, then this started happening.  I deleted Google Chrome.  I scanned the PC at least 5 times.  AVG repeatedly told me my "password was not protected" so I hit thepink button to turn it back on.  Then it said my firewall was not turned on. I turned it on.  The message about containing the threat pops up about every 2 seconds, and freezes up the screen beneath it.    I saw on another chat thread that this happened to at least 5 others the same night (Nov 22), and now on this thread I see that it has happened before over the last couple of years.  So, what is going on?  Can you fix this?  I am making Christmas presents–you  need to fix this quickly.  I pay a lot for your services.  Thanks.

Abbie, are you receiving this pop up when you browse internet or randomly or when you visit a particular website? Please click 'See details' and share that screenshot.

Hello Les,

We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Thank you.
