Hello T, Sorry for the inconvenience caused. May I know which AVG program you have installed on your PC? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it once?
Argh - it's back. Before I uninstall and reinstall again, does anyone have any suggestions for a less drastic way to deal with this?
Okay, I'll reinstall again, but I'd like to avoid having to make this a weekly habit. Anything I can do to investigate why this keeps happening, and maybe help you guys to come up with a better solution?
For the past few days, I've been noticing that the AVG tray icon disappears from the tray every 60 seconds, for approximately a tenth of a second. This is a little disconcerting, because it causes the entire taskbar to flicker, as all the taskbar tiles resize themselves to fill up the extra pixels for that fraction of a second, and then resize again when the icon reappears.
I recently downloaded an update to AVG, but I think this may have started before that update. The first few times I noticed it, I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me, but now I've seen it often enough to know that it is the AVG icon, and that it happens like clockwork every 60 seconds.
Does anyone know why this is happening, or how to get it to stop?

Okay, I uninstalled, downloaded a fresh copy of avg_free_x64_all_2015_ltst_221.exe, and used that to reinstall, and so far, that seems to have resolved the problem, whatever it was. (Guess I'll never know what caused it, but that's okay.)
