Avg tune up not cleansing browser data

Hello John,
We regret for the inconvenience. We understand that you are trying to clean the Browser data's in AVG PC Tuneup. We request you to close all the programs in your computer . Then open AVG PC Tuneup and run the scan in Maintenance or Free space to clean the browser data.

AVG tune up will not cleanse browser data as it insists google is open even when it is closed. PS australian "support" number does not work.
