AVG Tune Up scan of C:\ drive crashed my computer

Esther, PC TuneUp… Files missing… Have a look @ this article (http://avgclick.me/restorechangesbyAVGPCTuneup). Alternatively you can try using some file recovery software, for example Recuva (http://http://www.piriform.com/recuva) to get deleted data back.

I have used the AVG free antivirus program for some years and have been very happy with it.  I was offered a one day free "Tune Up" - we have used tune up before and found it good.  I downloaded the one day offer and it fixed the various files and then I decided to do the C:\ drive scan - it reached 11% and then the computer crashed, we tried restarting many times only for the same thing to happen, we finally were able to restore our computer using restore point from a external hard drive back up I had done 2 weeks ago - it means I lost some data and of course all the benefit of the one day free "Tune Up"  Is there some way this can be rectified?  I most certainly will not do the C:\ drive scan again.
