I recently purchased, downloaded, and installed AVG Tune Up Unlimited and received an email message from AVG informing me that there was a mix-up and my product was "downgraded" to the FREE version. The email message also then stated that the problem (on AVG's end) was "fixed" and that I would receive two (2) FREE months added onto my subscription as an "apology" for the mix-up. While all of that sounded good, I received several strange and contradictory emails from AVG on the subject in the last few days. The last email sent to me by AVG stated that my purchase was being REFUNDED…which basically ended my subscription without an explanation.
I'm totally confused…and want to know what's going on with all of this? I don't know if re-ordering the product is going to solve my problem because I don't even know what the problem was in the first place. Who's to say the same thing won't happen with a subsequent purchase of AVG Tune Up? To make matters worse, I have no idea WHO to contact or HOW to reach them about actually getting answers and solving my problem.
I don't appreciate having to air this matter in an online "forum" like this…but it seems to be the only recourse AVG provides. I've been a loyal customer for many years and THIS is the first time I've ever had something like this has happened which has caused me to reach out to "customer service". I'm not looking forward to having a "back-and-forth" session in this forum over this. Please advise.
