AVG Tunep Won't Delete Cache & Logs

Third time:"I ASKED TECH SUPPORT, but all they could muster up was sending me a link to the AVG manual. It doesn't tell me how to Fix AVG. It DOES tell me I can view the files by clicking "Show". They need to edit the manual as well."

Why do you make people repeat their posts? Are you trying to frustrate us so we just give up and renew hahahahahahaah!

Please read before responding - save us both time, and your stats are not faked.

Hello James,
We do understand your concern. Please be informed that you can schedule your 1-click maintenance scan through which the system cache files will be removed automatically. Please open your AVG PC TuneUp program. On the Maintenance tab you could find the setting's( Cog wheel). Please click on it to open the setting's where you can schedule your one click maintenance scan.
Thank you.

I have AVG Ultimate. Another part of the product that doesn't work now is the PC Tuneup.

ISSUE: On Click, PC Tuneup will not display (Show) System Cache & Logs.

Steps to re-recreate:

  1. Mouse-over icon by clock. It will say "Click to open AVG". Click it. Opens ZEN, not AVG.
  2. In the Zen window, click "PC TUNEUP" Opens AVG PC Tuneup. YEAH!
  3. In the PC Tuneup window click "Free Up Space". This is easy to find because the 'busy' icon beside it keeps running 24/7. Click it. Opens "Clean Up Potential".
  4. In the 'Clean Up Potential', mouseover "System Cache & Logs"  and click "Show" button. And click and click and click.  Nadda, zip - nothing.

QUESTION: Can someone please provide a step-x-step guide to do AVG's job for it and manually delete the cache and logs? i.e., The location and what is safe to remove?

It would be nice, more like honest, if AVG would remove those options and tools from Zen that are eliminated from service, but still show in the menus.

COMMENT: Last May, I went back to AVG after reviewing the many improvements AVG made to it's support and product. I bought AVG Ultimate, at the time it was the Rolls Royce of anti-virus. After AVG sold out to Avast, and after the many menu changes, program option deletions, and changes to Support (again), it is now the Horse and Buggy of anti-virus programs. A shame really because it was once a great program.

TIA
p.s. Yes, it shows 9.51 GB found.

Bhuvaneswari Vairavan. You said "We certainly understand your concern."

You do NOT understand. If =you did, you would have read and seen that I had already been thorugh those hoops and over those hurdles.
Had you cared enough to gather "concern", let alone actuially read, you wouldn't send me back to AVG Hell!

All yoiu seem to do Mr. Vairavan is send people to AVG support or send links that do nothing to answer the issue. It's more than a concern when every month more and more of Ultimate is whittled away. I can't even feel safe with the anti-virus part working if it can't evcen "SHOW".

Forget about the puclic imahe and making posts here look fixed and everyone happy, and really do something about fixing a ISSUE, rather than send us to where we have been several times.

Now you can add the generic cut & paste 'get lost' reply like usual. Isn't tha where you send one a link to where we can fill in a Suggestion box - you know, when someone gets too close the truth about AVG crumbling?
