We would like to clarify that development of old AVG TuneUp has been discontinued a few years ago because of software updates, operating systems and other applications , as all the software environment evolves.
As of now, it is not possible for you to get the old version of AVG PC TuneUp installed.
This is the reason, we released the revamped version for tuneup. The product is more stable and fully compatible with the latest operating system and programs.
We are still working on the product and new features are being added to it, also based on customer inquiries and comments. Therefore we would appreciate your feedback.

I'm completelly disappointed with the software. I bought this software for the hugh amounts of functions it had but now is like a joke. It has nothing. What about the defrag? the undelete? Come on, I really feel scammed.
I just paid 45 euros for the year subscription because i forgot you were gonna charge me but i'm thinking on a refund request.
This is the only software i'm paying something for and you have ruined in a big time
So if that problem is still hasnt been solved, is it possible to install older version of AVG PC Tune Up back again? If I knew about that problem I wouldnt renew my subscription this year. If I understand correctly youve just cut many options from older version and named it a new` one?
I totally agree with Themis. I was very shocked and disappointed when I renewed my subscription and was "upgraded" to the latest version, only to find so many of the functions gone! I too won't bother renewing my subscription next year.

Many features from the old version of AVG TuneUp will be updated, improved, and added to the latest program version during 2019. You can view all features and functions currently included in the latest version of AVG TuneUp by clicking All functions (the grid icon) in the right panel of the main AVG TuneUp dashboard. Certain features from the old version of AVG TuneUp are available in the PC Tuneup legacy features section.
The latest version of AVG TuneUp includes the following new features:
- Software Cleanup (Unnecessary programs): View poorly rated programs, including bloatware and trialware, that may have been installed without your knowledge. AVG TuneUp allows you to easily uninstall unnecessary programs and free up space on your system. To scan for unnecessary programs, click Speed Up on the main AVG TuneUp dashboard, then select the Unnecessary programs tab.
- Statistics: Provides an overview of optimizations made by AVG TuneUp from when the program was installed, including the amount of space cleared and the number of items cleaned. To access this information, click Statistics (the graph icon) in the right panel of the main AVG TuneUp dashboard.
We are continuously making improvements to the latest version of AVG TuneUp. This includes adding new features and improving existing features. Below is listed how some of the most important AVG TuneUp features have been improved in the latest program version:
- Background & startup programs: More effectively identifies the programs that are slowing down your PC and manages hibernation more precisely, allowing you to immediately wake hibernating programs when they are needed.
- Browser data: Now removes browsing data, cache, and tracking cookies from all of the most popular web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and Internet Explorer.
- System junk: Cleans more thoroughly and detects additional unnecessary items on your PC, to free up even more space on your system.
In order to focus on developing and improving the latest version of AVG TuneUp, we eventually plan to discontinue the old program version. Because of this, we strongly recommend keeping the new version installed. Your valuable feedback is duly noted and passed to the concerned team.
Hello,
I just installed the AVG 2019 to a new PC and almost all the options are missing. Check below. This makes the software completely useless and i also really do not like that you blame feedback of users for this options being removed. I find it very hard to believe that someone would like to have a software with almost all the options removed. This is very shady business and i really regret renewing my subscription. If these options are not back by the end of my one year subscription then i will definitely look for something else. This really has all the indications that we paid a full price for a beta version.
Extremely disappointed.
