Avg tuneup license number invalid

When installing, and entering my license number that I received, I keep getting the following message: 
"Sorry, you've entered an invalid format of license". I have checked the number again and again and it is exactly the number I have received in my order confirmation email. I really don't understand and would desperately need some help here!
