Hello Lut,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We apologize for the loss of data. We'll certainly help you out.
We'd like to clarify this to you.
AVG TuneUp will not scan SSD and cause any partition error but will only scan HDD for errors.
Regarding the disk doctor feature: The Disk Doctor feature scans your internal drives for disk errors caused by corrupted files, then offers to repair any found issues. If left unrepaired, corrupted files can cause crashes, unexpected behavior, problems starting your PC, and the loss of personal data.
To check if a scan is recommended, click All functions (the grid icon) ▸ Open Disk Doctor. Disk Doctor lists any drives that it is recommended to scan. The following options are available for each listed drive:
Scan now: Scans the relevant drive to check for issues.
Ignore: Removes the drive from the list of drives to scan. To scan this drive later, click disks ignored ▸ Stop ignoring at the bottom of the Disk Doctor screen.
Details: View additional information about the relevant drive.

Could you please confirm exactly what you are doing after installing AVG TuneUp?
May I know the operating system of your PC?
Awaiting your response.
Just subscripted to AVG Ultimate bundle. Installed on windows 11 and 10 PC. No Major issue on antivirus. Norton AV was installed prior install AVG internet security. It was coexisting no issue initial 2 days. However, when AVG Anti Track was installed after 2 days. Norton AV cause all browsers redirection link error. Search in Chrome, Edge, Firefox link error. No search link worked. Apparently, Norton AV in paranoid mode. Uninstall Norton AV solved the problem.
AVG tune-up was something I used a few years back without any problem. However, the latest version with minimalist interface gave no clue on which disk it is scanning. In my new PC just install it has one HDD and one SSD. Windows 10 pro was automatically installed on HDD. I removed the HDD in order to get Windows to install on SSD. I made the SSD as the primary boot disk, while the HDD version will not boot. All the disk was partitioned into 4 disk each (windows created some hidden partition).
PC tune up was run initially no problem. When I look into more detail of the tune up software, maintenance was skipped, optimize was run no major issue, problem cropped up when disk was to be scan for problems. Windows explorer started to freeze. I realized there is a difference between SSD and HDD. SSD scan was swift. HDD scan was very slow. After a few hours the windows explorer's HDD drive disappeared. Somehow there was a report on the HDD NTFS level 2 directory error. Tune up process was killed. I managed to recover the files and partition with free partition software. I did not suspect the Tune Up cause the disk corruption.
I tried the Tune up again with files and partition all accessible. After that all the HDD partition and files disappeared. This time the windows explorer cannot show any HDD files and partition anymore even the partition manager also cannot recover the lost HDD partition. Reboot a few times no difference.
Anyone had such encountered? I uninstalled the Tune Up.
It was very unlucky for me to lost 2days of works. I was very fortune when I reboot and select windows manager on boot using my SSD. This time I get back all my lost partition and files. Now I wonder if anyone can tell me is there a way to do a system snapshot for windows to pick up for recovery. I do not wish to go through the same drama again.
