Thank you for choosing AVG. The new AVG TuneUp - unlimited can be installed on any no.of devices (Windows, Mac & Android). This product does not require a license number to activate it like older version. It is activated using the AVG MyAccount email address and password.
You have to uninstall the older version to install new AVG TuneUp - Unlimited. Follow the steps in this article to uninstall AVG http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall AVG . Then install AVG TuneUp - Unlimited as suggested in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Performance .
Please note that AVG PC TuneUp is a computer maintenance and optimization tool that you can install together with AVG. It analyzes and fixes different issues that might occur on your computer, improves the speed of the system and makes it more secure. It does not protect your devices from virus.

My paid subscription to AVG Tune-Up has just been automatically renewed for a year and is now called AVG TuneUp - Unlimited.
There doesn't seem to be clear directions on what to do now.
Do I have to uninstall the old program and download again?
Reason is I can see no sign of an update in my AVG Tune-Up (still a bit of time left on it) and see no way of getting the FREE protection for my tablet, phone etc. There is no sign of this Zen app I've heard about.
Also, if and when I get it sorted, can my wife (same address but different email) get the pro protection on her phone through my paid subscription.

I can understand your concern. The previous message was that you can install the pro version of AVG Cleaner in your phone from your AVG MyAccount and also using the same account to install the pro version of AVG in your wife's phone. You need to use your email account in her phone and activate the product. For more information on installation in mobile phone, you can contact our AVG Mobile support: Please click on the following link ( http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical ) and fill out your details, select as Android then the name of AVG Program that you installed in your mobile and in description please completely explain about your issue and finally click on Email option. Also when filling out your details choose Yes for the Question "Are you currently using any paid/trial AVG products?" even though you may be using the Free version and fill out necessary details and click on Email option. The AVG mobile team will reply back to you via email with a resolution.
