Hello Scott,
We apologize for the inconvenience. You can uninstall AVG PC TuneUp from the control panel and if you still have any issue with uninstalling this product from control panel, you can click on this link http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG remover tool.
Note: Once the removal of AVG is complete, go to C Drive and delete the AVG remover folder. After which you can install AVG.
Once the AVG PC TuneUp is completely removed from your computer, you can reinstall the same from this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_PCTuneUp_765.exe and activate the product using the license number you have.

I recently purchased AVG TuneUp and tried installing it several times. Each time I tried to open it I received a System error message that " The program can't start because avgntopensslx.fmw.1.dll is missingfrom your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this". I called a number on the AVG Support website and allowed the technician to have remote access to my computer. After several minutes, I was told that if I paid a subscription of $199 I could have the matter resolved as my computer was infected and the installation cannot proceed until the virus was removed. I informed the Technician that I was not prepared to pay anything as I had purchased the software for A$66. I was then offered a one off fee of $119. I politely declined this. The Technician then told me to speak to his Supervisor. I then ended the call because I had been on the phone for almost an hour with no sign of a resolution of my problem.
The AVG Tech Support number I called was 1 844 234 6038. The Technician was from a Call Centre in the Philippines (63 28602060). What is going on with AVG?
