during avg tuneup maintinence scan ,scan is sticking on  plug-in"windows disc cleanup handler"is running…How do i disable the plugin

May I ask you how long the maintenance scan remains in the same state? Let us know the storage space of your PC.

Scan gets totally hung up on this feature.Disk space 285GB

Dieter, we will work together to sort this issue. Have you tried to stop this scan and initiate a new one? If not, please stop and re-initiate the scan to check if that fix the issue.
