Dear community,
Please help… I feel i'm pretty competent with computers but I'm really stuck.
Last night AVG (free) updated itself and this somehow caused AVG to conflict with itself. This seems like a common issue reading these community posts. Before reading these forums, I uninstalled AVG via the Control Panel. I then tried to re-install the program. The install got stuck at a high percentage (can't remember exact) and did not progress any further. The install would also not cancel. It was obvious it was not going to move any further so i killed my computer and went to bed…
Today I have tried to re-install the program. Every time i re-install the program it now gets to 73% the screen the "flashes" like it refreshed and then stays at that percentage. I can also open AVG and it says I am at 87% installed.
I have done the following:
Restarted my computer
Used the AVG remover tool to remove the program
Before restarting used the AVG Cleaner to also clean the program.
Restarted the computer.
The only result is the same situation of getting to 73%.
Please see the following: (https://ibb.co/b9dB1Q)
Any suggestions?
Thank you…

Hello Pandi,
thank you for replying. I have already used those tools. To be honest, I need to use my computer so I have used to above tools to remove AVG (as done previously) but will not try re-installing AVG again. It has taken too much time, and I am going to a different anti-virus.
Genuinely a bit dissapointed because I have used AVG for years very hapilly, but I genuinely believe this issue was not caused by myself - and the difficulty in actually removing AVG even these tools has put me off.
Kind regards,
Jonathan
