AVG UI and Browser does not respond

Hi, I use the free version of AVG and it has been a while now (a year or two) that I cannot close the UI or any pop-up window by clicking on it. I have to right click on the logo at the bottom of the screen and chose "Close window". I have recently downloaded AVG Secure Browser and the same thing happens. The browser opens, but does not respond at all when I click on anything. Any ideas?

Let us reinstall AVG Antivirus free program using our tools and then check the status.
Run AVG clear followed by remover tool as mentioned in this article.
NOTE: If there are no AVG programs found, click on "run anyway" and proceed with the removal.
Once it is done, install AVG Antivirus free as mentioned in this article.
You need not reinstall AVG Secure browser this time.

It is as if the left button of my mouse is disabled when an AVG window is open.

This isn't the expected behaviour. However, please follow the below steps and check if you are able to close the AVG application.

No, I reinstalled both, but no change. I could not even close the installation window of the antivirus program and could not close the brower, which launched automatically.

I can click anywhere, nothing happens. I also can't left click on the icons at the bottom of my screen when an AVG window like this is open, I can only right click.
