AVG Ultimate and Buying an Updated License - Will it Extend My Current Subscription?

Hello John,

We're glad to clarify this for you.
Unfortunately, purchasing a new AVG Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription from a reseller/retail store will not extend the validity of your existing AVG Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription.
However, you needn't worry, once you've purchased a new AVG Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription, our senior sales team can merge both of them into one AVG Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription, with an extended validity.
Let us know if you have further queries.

I have a question I don't see an answer to, and I want to be sure what would happen if I buy another license…

I have AVG Ultimate that I installed with a license I bought from a 3rd party that had an excellent offer.

I've recently seen this offer repeated, but I'm only about 1 year into a 2 year, 10 device license, and I am wondering if I can buy another license from the same vendor (as above) and add it to my account and get 2 additional years…  Or do I need to wait for my current one to expire first or ???

I've previously been only on the free version of AVG, so it's all new to me in having a license and want to renew it when it's up if that offer is still out there - or better yet, if I can just buy it now and have it extend my current subscription.

Please answer only if you've done this before or are someone from AVG who can answer this issue with certainty, as I don't want to add additional devices, just have it extend the current license.

Hi Midhun, the same as John E above, I have bought AVG Ultimate from a 3rd party (on Amazon). I haven't installed it yet. I already had paid subscriptions to AVG Internet Security and AVG Tune-Up. I can see from your answer above that this won't extend my current subscriptions, but my Internet Security runs out next month anyway. So do I just sign into my account, download Ultimate and enter the new subscription code? I would like everything merged into one subscription if possible.
