I understand the inconvenience. I would request you to follow the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to reinstall AVG Ultimate by running AVG Remover and AVG Clear tool.

Note: Run AVG Clear first then AVG Remover.

I have tried to download a newly purchased version of AVG Ultimate a number of times and it gets to 23% complete then stopped. Any ideas?
