I apologize for the delayed response. Please try to recover the system to previous restore point. If you haven't created restore point, then please try to reboot your PC in safe mode as per the steps mentioned in this article ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reboot-your-computer-into-Safe-Mode ) and check if it works. Once you logged into your PC in safe mode, please remove any unused or unknown programs and programs that were installed soon before this issue happening (if there are any) and check if it works

Hi, I have ultimate. Earlier today there were two error messages on my laptop screen. "AVG User Interface has stopped working" and "the following processes have failed: avguix.exe"
I restarted my computer. When I did that, Windows started scanning and repairing my drive but wouldn't complete. I'm not sure why, since I use AVG for that. So I tried to hard boot it, and it gave me option to press any key to skip the disk check. Next it looked like I would be able to log on, but after typing my password and hitting enter it took me to a fresh desktop that isn't mine. None of my files or shortcuts were there except AVG which wouldn't work. And it wanted me to log in to Microsoft OneDrive (which I don't use) and also said it couldn't sign into my account. I have no idea what is going on.
Do you know and can you help? It's like Windows 10 itself or a virus just took over my computer, wants me to log in differently, and completely reset my desktop.
