We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Could you share a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of the error message you are receiving? Please uninstall any conflicting anti virus and older version of AVG if installed on your PC and then try to run AVG Ultimate installation. Thank you.

The download worked but encountered an error code immediately when starting to install the program.

Richard, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
